Your role
In this role, you will support our Quantum Development Team in shaping the future of quantum computing! You will work on engineering advanced quantum algorithms, integrating quantum solutions into API-driven software services on our platform, and exploring innovative encodings and industry use cases for commercially available quantum computers. You will collaborate closely with other quantum algorithm expert and software developers, playing a key role in productizing Kipu’s state-of-the-art quantum algorithms.
Your responsibilities
- Improving the engineering of quantum algorithms including exploring better encodings of problems, classical pre- and post-processing methods, improving efficiency of transpilation.
- Work to continuously improve the benchmarking process of quantum algorithms and quantum solvers
- Work with the team to design API based quantum solvers hosted on our product platform from the embedding of the problem going into its implementation using Kipu’s state-of-the-art quantum algorithms on quantum hardware and to the rebuilding of the solution of the initial problems
- Manage and optimize the maintenance of deployed quantum solvers
- Work with the team to continuously improve the productization process
Your profile
- Completed studies (M.Sc or Ph.D.) in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field or comparable qualifications
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum computing libraries and Python development
- Experience with software development including automation of CI-CD pipeline, deployment of dockerized applications, troubleshooting and resolving performance bottlenecks
- Understanding of quantum error correction and noise mitigation strategies would be an advantage
- Experience with classical optimization techniques and their quantum counterparts as well as in machine learning would be a big plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to work in and with cross-disciplinary teams
- Experience with agile workflows and agile project methods like SCRUM
- True startup mindset; hands-on, driven, resilient. As we are a young venture, we all must wear different hats and contribute to different aspects of the business
- Excellent command of English is necessary
