LIGENTEC is a young, dynamic and strongly growing company, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, near EPFL, close to the shore of Lake Geneva. We are developing Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) to world-leading performance with our customers for applications in Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space, Biosensors and more.
To support our growth, we are looking for a:
Process Technician

Tasks
- Execute independently complete process flows for prototype and small-scale fabrication runs for photonic integrated circuits in all technical areas (lithography, thin film, etching and back-end).
- Perform quality control using metrology tools and collect and document data for the statistical process control (SPC)
- Compile test data and generate quality reports
- Carry out handling and packaging of sorted chips
- Manage stock of raw materials and fabricated goods
- Support the process engineering team with the execution of standard and special process steps and characterization work.
Requirements
- A technical education (e.g. Physics Laboratory Technician) or equivalent by experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a cleanroom environment, tool operation, maintenance, and safety in a wafer processing setting (Semiconductor, MEMS, Solar or Photonics), preferably in an industrial environment.
- Passionate about microfabrication technology and enjoy working with state-of-the art equipment.
- Ability to independently execute a process flow with minimal supervision.
- Highly reliable, meticulous attention to detail, cleanliness, tidiness and a strong work ethic.
- Work residence permit for Switzerland or EU citizenship.
- Working proficiency in English, French is a plus.
